...and here we go again.  trying to write during a quiet lab sessions I'm teaching, so not sure how productive this will be but here goes nothin'...
okay, done for now and I at least got some thoughts on paper, plus I finished my 'study area' section and have an outline for my paper.  I'm hoping to have more time later today to actually form sentences out of my rambling notes, and begin typing the 'introduction' for my paper.
writing now after waking up in the middle of the night with ideas for the paper for annemarie's seminar...

Day 36 - Writing complete, more than 90 minutes!  Tomorrow, I will continue on this report (fairly straightforward).  Shortly, I will start working on the written analysis requested by Arish.  Ugh.

Day 36 - Wow, writing daily is proving impossible.  Here goes one hour on the report / RSE paper!

Day 32 - Complete and utter failure.  No writing, but it's Mutlu's fault.  I am going to try now to tackle the report, starting with some tables, but I am keeping my expectations low.

Day 31 complete!  Ha - wrote for more than 2 hours.  Tomorrow's goal is to finish up the methods section for the report, actually start the progress portion (first half of report), and get back to the Western China paper.  No small feat.

Day 31 - Sigh.  Not very proud of the twenty days that I did no writing.  Had to take a break to finish up the maps, then there was travel, and then, well... always hard to get started again.  I am starting 60 minutes *right now*, and I will tackle that World Bank report.

well...that was painful.  but, I wrote about 700 words on the policy, environment, and happenings of southern Vietnam.  sending to Annemarie now for what's sure to be a substantial round of edits.  oi!

on the docket for tomorrow...er, or should I say on the docket for next time: beginning to type up some of the background from this stack of papers I need to read on trajectory analysis for time series data.
I keep thinking I will actually dedicate time to writing for at least two consecutive days and it never happens.  oh well.  here goes a draft of my study area write-up to be used in all sorts of documents/presentations this semester -- better be good!  (no pressure...)
