finished a solid review of all the change detection methods papers I've read over the past year or so (ok maybe not allll) but enough to get my footing for the change detection section of my paper

well, I wrote an outline and a couple of paragraphs, but I'm getting too sidetracked by reading papers to continue this attempt at a draft.  tomorrow, after reading more of these articles on peri-urbanization and ecologic footprints of urban areas,  I'm hoping to do better at framing some of my thoughts...

...but, for the first time all semester I'm feeling like I will actually, definitely be able to complete my specific qualifying exam which feels super great!

and back at it.  going to try to just get thoughts on paper today, then outline how I'd like the paper to be structured, and work on actually beginning to form a cohesive document tomorrow...

oops!  I forgot to sign out of this, but I finished my paper for seminar about 2 hours ago.  it still needs some proofreading, etc, but I'm glad that the meat of the paper is done.  tomorrow begins qualifying exam part deux -- outlining my paper, reading some articles from the journal that I have in mind for its eventual possible publication, and writing out preliminary background stuff.

back at it on this paper for seminar. hoping to wrap it up today (just the results and discussion are left) and being working on my qualifying exam paper later tonight or tomorrow...

Just about finished my proposal! Need to do a once over in the morning to make sure writing fatigue isn't an issue (or at least a noticeable one..), and then I can move on to my presentation, and then onto my lit review paper. Woohoo!

9 pages total on this thing, but still a lot to do.  intro, study area, & dense time stack methods are done.  still need more on the review of trajectory analyses & rice mapping methods + the results and discussion. are there really only 3 more weeks left in the semester?

and here we go again...back to the paper...

trying to break through this writer's block and get crackin' on this paper for Annemarie's seminar!

Just finished an hour+ of writing! Paper draft due next week, so that is always good motivation.

Arggh! Need to get back into the habit of logging! Have been camped out at Barriques and working on my proposal for the past couple hours! Slow going but going none the less.

Over an hour done, with the possibility of more to come. How exciting !
